Delete your account

You can delete your MedRec List account and backup at any time.

Delete in the app

  1. Open MedRec List and sign in.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Encrypted backup.
  4. Tap Delete account and backup.
  5. Confirm. You will see “Account deleted.”

What gets deleted

We delete your account and your encrypted backup. This includes:

  • account ID;
  • sign-in provider;
  • email address;
  • account created date;
  • the Terms version you accepted; and
  • your encrypted backup file.

This can't be undone. You won't be able to restore the backup later.

The list on your phone

Your list is stored on your phone, not on our server. Deleting your account does not delete it. To remove the list from your phone, delete the app.

Can't use the app? Ask by email

Email [email protected] from the email address on your account. Use the subject “Delete my account”. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. We will email you when your account and backup have been deleted.

Please don't include any health details in your email.
